If you are using the Chatstack iPhone app and you are not receiving PUSH alerts then please confirm theat you have PUSH alerts enabled as shown below:

  • Open the iPhone Settings
  • Tap Notifications and turn the Notifications on
  • Then tap the Chatstack options
  • Turn on the Badges, Sounds and Alerts options

If you have the PUSH notifications enabled and are still not receiving alert when connected to WiFi then please try the following DNS solution. 

iPhone PUSH Notification DNS Issue

Within the iPhone OS 3.1.3 there is a known issue where PUSH notification may not work correctly.  If you change your DNS settings to OpenDNS or the public Google DNS then the issue will be resolved.  You need to change the DNS settings for your WiFi connection as shown below.

  • Open the iPhone Settings
  • Tap the Wi-Fi option
  • Tap your current Wi-Fi network to view the network settings
  • Tap the DNS setting
  • Enter 208.67.222.222 for OpenDNS or 8.8.8.8 for Google’s DNS
